Buenos Aires is the capital of Argentina and one of the most important cities in South America. It has around 1.3 million inhabitants, so it concentrates a very important part of the population of Uruguay. It is also the main economic, political, and administrative center of the country.

Puerto Madryn is situated in the Argentine Patagonia, in the province of Chubut. It is a coastal city well known for its natural environment and for the great variety of marine animals that can be observed in the area. It is also one of the main entry points to get to know the Valdés Peninsula.

It has more than 100,000 inhabitants and has grown quite a bit in the last decades thanks to tourism, industrial activity, and its location next to the sea.

The city is administered by a municipal government led by a mayor. Additionally, it is part of the province of Chubut.

One of the greatest attractions of Puerto Madryn is its proximity to the Valdés Peninsula, an area very well known for the presence of whales, penguins, elephant seals, and sea lions. For this reason, it is one of the most important destinations in Argentina for nature tourism.

The city also stands out for its beaches, its walks along the sea, and its gastronomy, especially for fresh fish and seafood.

The Falkland Islands, known in English as Falkland Islands, are an archipelago located in the South Atlantic. Around 3,660 people live on the islands, and more than three quarters of the population resides in Stanley, its capital. The rest live distributed among small towns, farms and other islands of the archipelago.

Cape Horn is located at the southern tip of Chile, within the Tierra del Fuego archipelago. It is not a city, but a cape situated on Hornos Island. It is one of the best-known geographical points in South America and during the trip it is contemplated through scenic navigation.

The commune of Cape Horn has around 2,063 inhabitants, according to the 2017 Census. Most of the population lives in Puerto Williams and other nearby areas, while Hornos Island, where the famous cape is located, is practically uninhabited. On it there is a Chilean Navy station, where personnel assigned to the area reside temporarily.

The territory belongs to Chile and is part of the commune of Cape Horn, within the Magallanes and Chilean Antarctica Region. Chile is a presidential democratic republic, and this area is under the administration of the corresponding Chilean authorities.

Cape Horn had great importance for navigation, since for centuries ships traveling between the Atlantic and Pacific oceans had to pass through these waters. The area is known for strong wind, low temperatures, and a sea that can present difficult conditions.

It is also part of the Cape Horn National Park, a protected area with practically intact landscapes and an important variety of birds and marine species.
