Ocean Medallion Class is a new class of cruise vacations that feature a level of service and personalization that has never before been considered possible, especially on a large scale.
What is the Ocean Medallion?
The Ocean Medallion is a free, wearable device that facilitates extraordinary guest vacation experiences to make cruising more personal and simple than ever before. The Medallion holds your unique digital identity which is encrypted and communicates with thousands of sensors onboard and in port. It lets our Crew see information they can use to serve you better. That’s in addition to using Medallion for payments, unlocking your stateroom door, speeding up embarkation and much more. While you must carry a Medallion while onboard, it’s up to you how much or how little you want to take advantage of the full experience.
Will I need to pay for my Ocean Medallion?
Your Medallion is included in the price of your Ocean Medallion Class cruise.
How do I get my Ocean Medallion?
We’ll ship it to you in advance at no extra charge, so that your vacation experience is simple and easy from the start.
How do I carry my Ocean Medallion?
You can wear your Medallion as a wristband or pendant, or just keep it in your pocket.
Can I personalize the Ocean Medallion?
Yes! You can customize your Medallion with a choice of colors. It will also be laser-etched with your name, ship, and sail date.
What is Ocean Ready™?
Ocean Ready prepares you for your cruise, enriches your arrival and helps foster an enduring relationship for the future. Through Ocean Ready, you can customize preferences and input information to your online profile, helping you speed through embarkation and get right to your vacation.
What is Ocean Compass™?
Ocean Compass is a digital portal that provides you access to your digital experience dimension. Serving as personal experience concierge before, during and after vacation, the Ocean Compass has an intuitive and innovative interface. It is available online, on smart devices, on kiosks in port terminals, on stateroom TVs, on interactive surfaces located throughout the cruise ship and on devices carried by crew members. You can use the Ocean Compass to enhance your vacation, select experiences and create personalized event-based itineraries. No guest is required to have a personal device to access Ocean Compass. The Ocean Compass also serves as a digital media platform that features custom experiential media content as well as access to vacation photos captured during a cruise vacation.
How do I create an Ocean Profile?
Coming soon, you'll be able to create an account on Ocean.com or through the Cruise Personalizer at princess.com to access your Ocean Compass, which will act as your personal guide throughout the journey.
How do I know which activities are right for me?
In your Ocean Compass, you’ll see Notifications with recommendations tailored for you, from dining onboard to adventures in port. By accepting or declining invitations, our invitation engine will learn more about your preferences and so continuously improve the personal relevance of our experiences for you.
Will I be able to opt out of or turn off this new technology?
If you do not want to take advantage of the full Ocean Medallion Class experience, you can switch your privacy setting to "Safety Only" and enjoy the cruise the same great way you do today.
What happens if I lose my Medallion? How do I get a replacement? Is there a cost?
If you notify the crew that an Ocean Medallion has been lost, it will be identified and/or replaced at no cost. Your Ocean Medallion can be disabled at any time by you or an appropriate crew member.

What is my Tagalong?
You can customize a Tagalong, which acts as your digital companion throughout the cruise and beyond. You’ll find your Tagalong in Ocean Compass and on portals throughout the ship.
What entertainment can I enjoy?
Check your Ocean Compass to view entertainment, from live shows on-ship to engaging media that you can enjoy from the comfort of your stateroom.
How do I pay for things on board?
You can pay for excursions, meals, gifts and more with your Ocean Medallion.
What is Here & Now™?
With Here & Now, you get more of what you want, when you want it. You can order select food, drinks and more from wherever you are, and we’ll be sure it gets to you.
What is There & Then™?
For select items and drinks, you can order ahead and have delivered to future locations. For example, if you want to have a second glass of wine ready when you arrive at the theater after dinner, just use There & Then through Ocean Compass or ask a crew member.
